APC in Diaspora adopts Adams Oshiomole as National Chairman, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni as National Secretary and Dr. Ramatu Tijiani Aliyu as National Woman Leader ~ Lady Chidimma Onyekwelu (Coordinator)

Abuja- All Progressives Congress in Diaspora has endorsed and adopted the candidatures of the former Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomole and Hajiya Dr. Ramatu Tijiani Aliyu for National Chairman and National Woman Leader respectively ahead of June 23rd National Convention of the Ruling Party in Nigeria.
The Group led by Lady Chidinma Onyekwelu said that the former Governor of Edo State is the right man to reposition APC at this critical point in time sequel to the task ahead. The Group believed with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s leadership experiences both as former Labour Leader, Activist and Governor of a State, APC will be re-directied to the Progressive ideas of the founding father’s of the party.
The Group also maintained that Comrade Oshiomhole’s antecedents as a former leader stands him out among other Contestants for the National Chairman having exhibited the capacity to harmonise the various divergent views and interest in the party and bring about lasting peace and cohesion among various Stakeholders in the party.
The Group said that Oshiomole is a good man and very strict on principles which is what the party needs at this crucial time. They believed that with Comrade Oshiomhole as Chairman, he will deploy his persuasive powers and negotiating skills in resolving any crisis that may arise within the party.
The Diaspora Group called on Party Leaders to retain the current National Secretary of the Party, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, whom they described as a true party man and seasoned administrator whose high sense of maturity and understanding has no replica. The Group described him as an uncompromising Party man, who always stand on the path of truth, justice and due process. They believed that this is the kind of character and personality that should work with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to reposition APC for a brighter tomorrow. These characters undoubtedly and believably will take the party to a greater height towards achieving the desired change.
The Group also used the opportunity to implore all the delegates to the National Convention to reelect Hajiya Dr. Ramatu Tijjani as the National Woman Leader. The Diaspora Group believed that with Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu as the Woman Leader, the interest of women in the party will be well protected. Also speaking, since her election as APC National Women Leader, Hajia Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has been of outstanding behaviour and carriage. She is the epitome women dignity and of measured supportive character to the party leaders and Mr President and women’s world. No records of scandals, disrespect nor insubordination.
The Diaspora Group Coordinator Lady Chidinma Onyekwelu in her statement on the personality of Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, she described her as a cerebral women leader, whose conduct and carriage has been of positive image for the party. She urged the party to retain one of APC’s most positive image makers.
Hajia Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has been straight forward, bold, none controversial, ideological in her disposition, doggedly loyal to the party, patient and accommodates everyone, contributing immensely without any compensation yet, she has carried herself with dignity as a good example of womanhood, her intellectual prowess is of high inspiration to young women everywhere in Nigeria. She has been a defender of APC and it’s administration and foundation member of the party. She remains the best amongst those betrayals and intruders who are angling for her office today.
Lady Onyekwelu stated that there is no room for experiments and there is no need to change a perfect striker for the women’s wing, remembering that “one good term deserves another”. Hajia Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu if not for anything should be brought back to serve as a measure of compensation for her hard work, loyalty, patience, integrity, financial contributions, respect for the party leaders, the Presidency, and for her intellectual disposition and effective representation of the women folks.
She admonished the delegates to resist imposition of women leader or any attempt to manipulate the process to electing our women leader. We need someone we can call our own and not those who want to get to power at the back of another woman’s influence or as stooges”. Rather, may we support her reelection as the National woman leader who will always give us a listening ear, and put our money where our mouth is.
The Group maintained and believably with Hajiya Dr. Ramatu as the National woman Leader, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni as the National Secretary and Oshiomole at the head of affairs of the party, the sky would be just a starting point for all and sundry. Added that what the party needed right now is a leadership that will take the party to the people who are the original owners of the party and they believed that the above characters will provide such leadership principle devoid of sentiments or prejudice.
In conclusion, the Group enjoin other party faithful to appreciate the leaders of the party, the Governors, National Assembly members, the out going National Working Committee and all other party Executives that were produced by the just concluded State and Ward Congresses for their unflinching love and support for the party.
The Group seized the opportunity to urge Nigerians to get their Voters Card ready for 2019 election, and vote President Mohammadu Buhari to complete various transformations going on in the country.
According to Lady Chidimma Onyekwelu who concluded that President Buhari is a God-sent to Nigerians, added that PMB has succeeded in giving Nigeria a new image across the globe, pulled the Nation out of recession, tackled Corruption headlong and reduced the alarming rate of insecurity in the country and thus, deserves reelection come 2019.
