In an operation conducted on Wednesday morning, a man in Utah, who was the focus of an inquiry due to threats directed at US President Joe Biden, was fatally shot by FBI agents.

The man’s identity remains undisclosed. According to information from Salt Lake City’s NBC television affiliate KSL, FBI agents endeavored to access a residence in Provo.

This investigation, which had its inception in April, came to the attention of the Secret Service in June, according to unattributed officials who spoke with ABC News.

After careful evaluation, investigators found the man’s threats of physical harm to be credible. According to a statement from an FBI spokesperson to KSL, “The situation unfolded as special agents endeavored to execute arrest and search warrants at a residential location.”

“The individual in question has decreased. The FBI treats all instances of agent-involved shootings or incidents involving task force members with the utmost gravity,” the spokesperson further remarked.
