President Bola Tinubu is currently in a meeting with the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, who recently returned from the Niger Republic where he had engaged with the military junta that took control from the democratically elected President Muhamad Bazoum, arrived at the Presidential Villa around 8:25 pm. His arrival followed a meeting between President Tinubu and a delegation from the Nigeria Islamic Ulama.
Inquiries about his visit to Niger prompted the former Emir to simply respond that everything is alright.
As of the time of compiling this report, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is still in discussions with President Bola Tinubu.
