Gov. Otti stops salaries to civil servants employed from Jan – May 2023

Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti has directed the stoppage of salary payments to civil servants employed by the immediate past administration from January 2023 till May 29.

In a Circular issued by the Governor through the Head of Service in Abia State Sir Onyii Wammah, Directors of Administration and Directors were mandated to submit their nominal rolls, and audit clearance, as well as their Salary printouts for the month of December 2022, not later than Monday 26th June 2023.

News Reports gathered that this is the process of sacking all those employed in 2023 from the Abia State Civil Service.
