Soludo Begins Second Term, Pledges More Development for Anambra

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has commenced his second term in office, promising to build on the achievements of his first tenure and deliver greater development across the state.

Soludo was sworn in alongside his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, at a ceremony held at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, attended by top political figures and dignitaries from across the country.

In his inaugural address, the governor expressed gratitude to the people of Anambra for their overwhelming support in the 2025 governorship election, describing his victory as a strong endorsement of his administration’s performance.

He assured residents that his administration would intensify efforts to improve infrastructure, security, healthcare, education, and economic growth, stressing that his government is committed to making Anambra a livable and prosperous state.

Soludo also called for unity and collaboration among stakeholders, urging Ndi Anambra and the wider South-East region to work together for sustainable development. He emphasised the need for strategic partnerships and active political participation to ensure the region’s interests are well represented at the national level.

Reflecting on his first term, the governor noted that his administration focused on restoring security, improving urban development, revamping public institutions, and strengthening governance systems. He pledged to consolidate on these gains and deliver more impactful projects in the next four years.

He further highlighted the importance of collective responsibility, urging citizens to support government initiatives through tax compliance, lawfulness, and active participation in community development.

Soludo reaffirmed his vision of transforming Anambra into a major economic hub, expressing confidence that with sustained efforts and cooperation, the state would achieve greater prosperity.

Dignitaries at the event commended the governor’s leadership and reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to partnering with states to promote development and ensure the welfare of citizens.
