President Bola Tinubu expressed his heartfelt condolences on Tuesday evening following the passing of Senior Pastor Taiwo Odukoya of Fountain of Life Church.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu praised Pastor Odukoya for his significant contributions in the realms of charitable initiatives, particularly within the education and health sectors.
President Tinubu extended his condolences to the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, and all who were closely associated with the esteemed religious leader. He acknowledged Pastor Odukoya’s teachings, outreach efforts, and philanthropic endeavors, which played a crucial role in expanding charitable initiatives, specifically in the areas of education and healthcare.
The President also highlighted the lasting impact of Pastor Odukoya’s contributions to the country’s development. He commended the pastor for his unwavering support for the vulnerable and underprivileged, as well as for providing a platform for many individuals to realize their aspirations through his teachings on faith.
President Tinubu stressed the importance of preserving and carrying forward the remarkable legacy that the renowned clergyman left behind. He expressed his trust that the Almighty God would continue to provide comfort to Pastor Odukoya’s family during this difficult time.
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, aged 67, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, in the United States of America, as stated in an official announcement by his church on Tuesday.
